The MGB GT was introduced in Oct. 1965 and was built through 1980. However, export ended in 1974. These very stylish “Hardtops” were in some ways the beginning of the hatchback style that was sporty and handy at the same time. This was a ground-breaking design by Pininfarina and were widely popular. We Love these little hardtops and I always like to have one in stock. This 1969 model is absolutely one of the finest MGB GTs you are ever going to find. The little car started out on the west coast and was well used but not abused. The car was purchased and brought to North-East Ohio and was treated to a very complete comprehensive two year restoration by it’s owner who is probably one the the country’s leading authority’s on MGBs. The car was completely disassembled and the rust-free body bead blasted and repeatedly primed and block sanded to perfection before the original shade of Pale Primrose was applied. The brightwork is either restored original or some High Quality aftermarket pieces such as the side trim which is original “Rover Group”. The chrome Bumpers are N.O.S “British Leland” pieces (pictured with labels) . Bumper guards are from British Motor Heritage. The entire suspension was rebuilt with new poly bushings front and rear. Kingpins rebuilt and a new rear spring. The engine is a 1973 and was completely rebuilt. Bored .030 over and brand new internals throughout. A late large valve cylinder head was also completely gone through professionally and hardened seats, guides and stainless valves were used. All of this runs through a “Moss Tourist Trophy” polished stainless exhaust. A completely rebuilt Black Label Overdrive (3rd & 4th Gear) Transmission The interior started with a new headliner. The original seats were completely redone with new foam and cloth seat covers were finished in the original pattern. Complete new carpet set and side rails recovered. New seat belts were also used. All new dashboard and door panels. A new dash and engine wiring installed. N.O.S. Lucas Distributor with PerTronix electronic ignition added. Finishing off this beautiful restoration is a full set of five, 15 inch Minator Wheels (Made in the UK) and Kumho radial tires all around. This car wins just about every show it enters and has been in several high level judged shows. The best part about this car is that it is not a trailer queen! It gets driven! About 15,000 miles have been put on this car since the restoration was completed and still looks fresh! This is an outstanding example of a investment quality MGB GT. $29,995.00
