On Oct. 8, 1973 Robert Cade sat down at Sisler Ford Inc. in downtown Canton, Ohio and ordered his new 1974 Ranchero 500. This truck was very unique as it was ordered with the 302 V8 motor and 2 barrel carb. and a 3 speed on the column. Also ordered with Performance Instrument Cluster with full gauge package including tachometer. F78 white wall tires. Power Steering. AM Radio. Ranchero Brougham Decor Group (Plush Interior). Tinted Glass. Ordered in Saddle Bronze with matching interior. Mr. Cade traded in his 1970 Chevrolet ElCamino . The order was placed and was built in Dec. of 1973 at the Atlanta assembly plant. Mr. Cade loved and cherished this truck and only accumulated 27,000 miles since new. The truck was parked for the last time around 2000 in Mr. Cades garage and never driven again. Rally Sport Classics purchased the truck and did a full, complete detail and installed New Magnum 500 wheels and new BFG Radial T/A white letter tires for a updated look. Documented with original order form from Sisler Ford and two original receipts from Sisler Ford for the deposit and the final purchase price. We also ordered a Marty Report. This truck still wears all of it's original paint and looks fantastic. The interior is also original and looks like it did the day it was delivered new. We detailed the engine compartment and freshened everything up including the brakes. This truck runs and drives flawlessly. $24,995.00.
A Collectors Dream!! This is a 1986 Cavalier RS Convertible Indy 500 Festival Car!! This car is no replica and was used at the track. The exact number of these is unknown and the Indy 500 Museum estimates this to be one of about 45. This car is number 30. Festival cars was used around the track for various dignitaries and parades. Most notably the night before the big day each driver was placed in a car for the parade. After the Race Chevrolet made these cars available to dealers where they usually went into collections or sold as drivers for daily activity. One such dealer was Bob McDorman Chevrolet in Canal Winchester, Ohio. Bob had one of the biggest Chevrolet collections in the country and bought this car after the race. Bob kept this car in his collection until 2004 when it went to another private collection for two years and then Athens GA. into a large Cavalier Convertible collection where it remained until purchased by us earlier this year. Only 22,000 actual original miles has been added since the car was built. These festival cars were loaded with just about every available option and everything on this car works as it should. All original Indianapolis 500 decals are still in place. Runs and drives like a 22K mile car should. How many still exist? we can not find another one like it. We have been told Bob McDorman had his name on this car immediately after the race and not to have any decals removed. This is a very rare but affordable collectable that will enhance any collection. $16,995.00
