About Rick Robinson
A "car guy" his entire life, Rick Robinson had a dream to own a classic car and muscle car dealership. Following retirement, he and his good friend Jeff Templeton pursued this venture. Everything fell into place, and Rally Sport Classics was founded in August 2019.
Cultivating a Passion for Cars
Rick still owns the very first car he purchased at 15 years old: a 1972 Chevelle. He has also kept his father's favorite 1974 Corvette, accredited with both a Bloomington Gold certification and an NCRS Top-Flight award.
In addition, Rick loves local collectibles and automobile memorabilia, which ornately decorate the walls of Rally Sport Classics. He enjoys sharing his passion with his customers, so stop by for a visit and have a quick chat with him.
About Jeff Templeton
Jeff Templeton loved cars since his high school days. His senior car was a 1969 Dodge Coronet 440, 4 speed. Finished in B5 Blue. It holds a special place in his heart yet today.
Jeff went on to work 36 years for Ford Motor Company, as a welding inspector. In the lean times, through layoffs and other times, Jeff worked at a variety of Chevrolet dealers as a used car salesman.
Rick and Jeff met through mutual friends and with similar backgrounds, hit it off right away.
The rest is history as Rally Sport Classics opened in 2019.
Meet Jason Templeton
Jason—affectionately known as Jake or "The Captain"—loved cars as much as the rest of us. He adored going on rides with his dad Jeff and would collect vehicles from all over the nation.
We lost Jason in 2014. Throughout his time on earth, Jason touched the lives of several individuals. Our company wanted to honor his memory and pay homage to his love of automobiles. Hence, we named our office area after him: Jake’s Sunoco Service.
We miss and lovingly remember our friend Jake.
